Assembly stage 3: final checks and first flight
Insulate joints, secure cables, connect antennas and check battery straps. Inspect camera view, cooling, fasteners and propeller clearance. The video shows one aircraft; use your own component manuals first.
Guide notes
Finish the hardware
Insulate joints, secure cables, connect antennas and check battery straps. Inspect camera view, cooling, fasteners and propeller clearance. The video shows one aircraft; use your own component manuals first.
Check software without propellers
Verify FC orientation, receiver channels, arm switch, motor numbering and rotation in Betaflight. Check voltage readings and important battery and link OSD information. Save the aircraft's configuration backup.
Check link loss and stopping
Verify failsafe without propellers and ensure rapid disarming. Avoid extended high-output unloaded motor tests. Investigate unusual sound, heating or unstable readings before flight.
Plan the first flight
Disconnect power before fitting correctly oriented propellers. Use a permitted open area away from people. Begin with a short hover, land and inspect temperature and fasteners before fast or distant flying.
