Guide notes
Record the current setup
Identify the exact FC model, revision and target. Save firmware version and configuration backup. Remove propellers and use a reliable data cable. The video demonstrates the interface, not universal flashing settings.
Use the official application
Open app.betaflight.com and authorise the correct serial device. Follow the manufacturer's DFU procedure where required. Do not select a firmware target based only on a similar-looking board.
Select and flash firmware
Choose a stable release and required features for the exact hardware, verify the target and flash. Diagnose permissions, drivers, cable and DFU state if flashing fails; do not try unrelated targets repeatedly.
Inspect after flashing
Do not blindly paste all old CLI settings across firmware versions. Recheck ports, receiver, motors, modes, OSD, VTX and failsafe. Save a new backup. Complete propeller-free checks before a short test flight.
