Chargers: correct programs and balance charging
Read the charger and battery manuals. Confirm input supply, main and balance connectors and battery chemistry. Available charging power may depend on the input supply and number of active ports.
Guide notes
Prepare the equipment
Read the charger and battery manuals. Confirm input supply, main and balance connectors and battery chemistry. Available charging power may depend on the input supply and number of active ports.
Choose the program
Use an appropriate balance-charge program and the correct chemistry and cell count. Follow the battery manufacturer's current rating. Check that detected cell count agrees with the label before starting.
Monitor charging
Charge on an appropriate nonflammable surface while attended. Monitor connectors and temperature. Stop for abnormal conditions, large cell differences or errors; do not bypass protections. Beginners should avoid parallel charging.
Finish and store
Check cell status after charging, disconnect the battery and organise cables. Use manufacturer storage guidance for longer periods without use. Resolve charger error codes and input-supply issues using the manual.
