Flight safety: bench checks to post-flight inspection

Remove propellers for motor and failsafe tests. Disconnect batteries before wiring, propeller installation or repair. Connect VTX antennas and provide cooling. Do not leave powered aircraft unattended on combustible surfaces.

Guide notes

Bench testing

Remove propellers for motor and failsafe tests. Disconnect batteries before wiring, propeller installation or repair. Connect VTX antennas and provide cooling. Do not leave powered aircraft unattended on combustible surfaces.

Before takeoff

Verify local flight permission and site conditions; avoid people, roads and obstacles. Inspect frame, propellers, battery mounting, antennas, control and video links and arm switch. Maintain awareness beyond the limited FPV camera view.

During flight

Keep adequate return energy and manoeuvring space. Use rehearsed stopping and landing procedures for video loss, link faults or strong wind. Unverified GPS Rescue is not a safety guarantee.

After landing

Disarm before approaching and disconnect the battery before inspection. Check temperature, structure and propellers. After a crash, inspect the battery, frame, motors and wiring again; stop using damaged or unusually hot parts.
