Video transmission: power, antennas and control

Analog and digital systems use different cameras, transmitters, goggles and control protocols. Check compatibility, voltage, dimensions and cooling for the exact components. Matching connectors do not prove compatibility.

Guide notes

Identify the video system

Analog and digital systems use different cameras, transmitters, goggles and control protocols. Check compatibility, voltage, dimensions and cooling for the exact components. Matching connectors do not prove compatibility.

Wire and power safely

Follow the specific pinout for power, ground and SmartAudio, Tramp or MSP control. Connect the correct antenna before powering the transmitter. Verify BEC capacity and protect wires from propellers.

Configure and check

For analog video, match the VTX table, band, channel and goggles. For digital systems, follow the manufacturer's binding and MSP/OSD instructions. Respect local frequency and power requirements.

Diagnose missing video

Remove propellers and power briefly. Check supply, connectors, camera and antenna before channel or binding settings and control protocols. Provide required bench cooling and disconnect if abnormal heating occurs.
